Great experience. We came with 30 people in front of us, and the restaurant was set to close in an hour. If you go up to the host, you can let them know your order, and they are aware you are around. We got our spot post closing time, but they still let us eat. The food was great and very filling. Meat was so tender and was marinated very well. Not sure if it's worth the long wait, but it was great to try.

Went with 4 friends and we shared 2 large orders of the kalbi and oxtail. We had leftovers at the end. Generous portions of meat, and everything was pretty flavorful, albeit a bit sweet. It's pretty pricey but we all left full and they were generous with the meat servings. The total came out to $285 after service charge, which they automatically add in.

You definitely get what you pay for! The menu is steep but the quality of food is ah-mazing. Definitely enjoy the food and plenty of food to share! The Banchan and rice came out first. They have the choice between purple and regular jasmine rice. Both are a nice treat! We got both! 5/5 DAEHO KALBIJJIM - Doh Gal Jjim (Braised Beef Rib with Ox Cartilage/Tendon 5/5 so flavorful with a little bit of everything that you could ever want! You can add more toppings like cheese and onions but we kept it as is l. DAEHO SUYUK - Cha Dol (Brisket Point) 5/5 the soup comes unseasoned, so don't be surprised it has no flavor. But there is salt and pepper at the table for you to season to your taste. A little pinch of salt brought out many of the ingredients in the soup. YUK HWE (BEEF TARTARE) 5/5 - I was a little hesitant when it first came out because it was so red. But it was one of the best beef tartare I've ever had...even better than some places in Korea! Definitely worth a try! They have other locations and the menu varies by location.

The food here is on point--saucy, rich, and absolutely delicious. The banchan was spot on and complimented the main dishes. Frankly, it was so good I enjoyed eating it on its own before the food came. For the galbijim,I highly recommend getting the additional cheese. Watching them torch and melt it right in front of you is a treat and, in my opinion, it completes the flavor profile perfectly. The service was okay. Nothing particularly stood out, but it was adequate. However, what did stand out was the mandatory 5% fee that's included in the calculation of the tip, along with a $1 packaging fee. These extra charges caught me off guard and made the meal a bit pricier than expected. Despite the surprise fees, the food at Daeho is undeniably good. If you're willing to overlook the added costs, you're in for a flavorful and satisfying meal.

Recently celebrated a friend's birthday here. We were a party of 4 and ordered a regular kalbi jjim with half cheese and a regular kalbitang (so delicious) for sharing. It came with 3 purple rice and banchan. It was perfect amount of food for us as most of us don't eat a lot of rice. Even enough for the birthday girl to take some leftovers home. Only negative is that I felt the kalbi jjim was too salty. Ambiance is dark interior, cool to see melting of cheese and efficient service.

Galbijjim from Daeho always good! The wait used to be so long but the last time I went it was roughly an hour which was pretty good. We also got the galbitang too because we are gluttons. The soup was so comforting since SF was so cold.

Signed up on the yelp waitlist around 6 pm on a Saturday and got seated with our party of 4 at around 8 pm. We ordered while we were waiting outside when we went to check in and we got our side dishes and the main dish pretty quickly after we sat down. Kalbijjim Large with mild spicy, cheese and purple rice - This was the perfect size for 4 people and it came with 3 rices that we could share. Adding cheese is a must on top and it's fun that the staff comes to torch it in front of you. Mild spicy was the perfect level for me and it soaked really nicely into the items in the dish. The meat fell off the bone and the rice cakes, carrots and other vegetables inside complemented it well. Their kalbijjim is iconic and I definitely feel like it is worth the hype and price from their portion size to flavors.

For the wait, it was about an hour but since it's near Japan Town, my friends and I explored the area! Once we got seated, we all ordered the Daeho Kalbijjim which was enough for four people since it was a lot. The meat fell off the bone and was definitely flavorful! You can add cheese on top, which we opted out and different spice levels too. Overall, despite the wait, it was good!
